We are pleased to welcome the renowned expert on the death penalty, Professor Rick Halperin, to Cologne. Halperin is one of the best-known human rights activists in the USA. He is Director of the Human Rights Program at Southern Methodist University, Texas and Chairman of Amnesty International USA. He will talk about current developments in the anti-death penalty movement in America and the political situation. The discussion evening will take place in cooperation with the VHS Cologne.
Admission is free, the presentation will be held in English.

Halperin gehört zu den bekanntesten Menschenrechtsaktivisten der USA, er ist Direktor des Menschenrechtsprogramms der Southern Methodist University, Texas und Vorstand von Amnesty International USA. Er wird zu den aktuellen Entwicklungen der Anti-Todesstrafe-Bewegung in Amerika und der politischen Lage sprechen. Der Diskussionsabend findet in Kooperation mit der VHS Köln statt.
Der Eintritt ist frei, die Vortragssprache ist Englisch.
